On the 17 of May Tel Aviv University is holding Einstein Day in celebration of Einsein's Annus Mirabilis (Wonder year) – 1905. In that year Einstein wrote his two famous papers on the Theory of Special Relativity, his dissertation on Brownian Movement and his paper on the Photoelectric Effect (for which he was awarded the Nobel prize). In honour of that, year 2005, the 100th anniversary of Einstein's year, is celebrated worldwide as the "World Year of Physics" (http://www.wyp2005.org/).
The Tel Aviv University Einstein day (http://www.astroclub.tau.ac.il/e-day/) will include popular physics lectures that will be given to the general public, an open exhibition of neat physics demonstrations, and some astronomical observations of stellar objects. You are all welcome to come.
